Slope Calculation Tool can accurately calculate all ramp information with any two inputs.
It can accurately calculate the following:
- Slope or incline - The angle, or grade, of an incline is referred to as the slope. The slope can be either upward or downward.
- Run or horizontal travel - depends on the initial horizontal speed and travel time
- Ramp Length - Divide the total rise (how many inches from lower to upper level) by the slope.
- Rise or Height - measured from the top of one tread to the top of the next tread
- Slope Percentage and Ratio - Percent of slope is calculated by dividing the elevation change by the horizontal distance covered (also known as "the rise divided by the run") and multiplying the result by 100.
